These past few days had been quiet calm in your company. The sales are doing good, even if there's no augmentation.
You're doing some paperwork when Aslam comes in your office.
"Goodmorning boss. Can we talk? I have a matter to discuss."
[["Yes of course! What is the problem?"|1]]
"You know, Sujatah and I were the two candidates for a promotion. And Ashok choose Sujatah over me! And I suspect Ashok chooses her just because she is a woman. I know there were some tensions in our company on this matter, and maybe Ashok was influenced. So I would like him to reconsider giving her the promotion."
You quickly think about the possibities. Indeed, women are not really pointed out in your company, so it's a good thing to have a woman in a high level job. But what if Aslam was a better worker than her? Ashok shouldn't choose only by the gender, but by their qualifications.
[["I think it would be interesting to speak with Ashok. He would tell us more about his decision."|Ashok]]
[["If Ashok choose Sujatah, I'm sure it is for the good reasons. I can understand that you are upset, but complaining about it won't change a thing."|Taggle]]
Aslam take a sit, waiting for you to give a call to Ashok. He is in your office just a few minutes later.
"What's the problem, chief?" He takes a look at Aslam. "Oh, right. Let me guess: you are not happy I gave Sujatah the promotion, is that it?"
"Yes, I'm sorry, I know she works well, but I think you gave her the promotion because she would be the only woman in the company to have this kind of job."
"I am quiet impress by your way of thinking, and sorry Aslam, but it's not a compliment. I took some time to think about it, since both of you are equally qualified. But I think she is more confident with our clients, and she has a good sense of relational."
"You can understand why I am suspicious: I know our company had some problems because of the lack of women in the high ranking jobs..."
"There's a little bit of that. But you have to know: I choose Sujatah because she was better in some fields. And the fact that she is a woman doesn't interfere with the rest. If she was less efficient, I wouldn't choose her."
"But what if she gets pregnant? With me, you have the security." Claimed Aslam.
You can feel the awkwardness of the situation. You know for sure the promotion Sujatah gets will highlight your company, but you can understand why Aslam is angry and find this unfair.
[["*(Side with Ashok)*I think Ashok is right, Aslam. Giving the promotion to Sujatah was the right thing to do, especially if she can handle our clients. I'm sorry you didn't get it."|Désopasdéso]]
[["*(Convince Ashok)*Ashok, I think you should think this again. Aslam is right when he said the job could be more secured. He always could improve some of his skills. Maybe we should reconsider giving the promotion to Aslam."|Aslam]]
"Don't you think the job would be more secure with me instead of her? I mean, if she gets pregnant..."
[["If she gets pregnant, we will find a solution on time. If you really want to discuss this, we should ask Ashok to come, and maybe find a solution with him."|notbad]]
[["Mh. Maybe you're right. I will ask Ashok to come and see with him."|Ashok]]
"Aslam, we can't change our decision. If you think this is too unfair, I can see with Ashok to put you in another team, with the same promotion as Sujatha."
Aslam give a concerned look at Ashok.
"I think it's possible to do that. It won't change a lot of thing, so... We can agree with that, if it's okay for you of course."
"I don't mind being in another team." He said, after a few minutes.
"Ok, I will discuss with Ashok for the possibilites. I will call you later to inform you. At the time, you can go to work. Thank you for your time."
------------------
It's been three months since your discussion. Sujatha is still in the company, and manage very well her team. Aslam has been promoted manage as good as Sujatha.
[[Introduction]]
Aslam smiles at you. Ashok looks perplexed.
"Um... This could be very delicate to do. I suggest we ask Sujatha to come. We can tell her we change our decision."
"Ok, I'll call her."
You take your phone and ask her to come. When she enters your office, she looks very suspicious.
"Hello everyone. What is the problem?"
"Hello Sujatha. We have something to tell you. We don't want to offend you, but as you know, you and Aslam were the only ones for the promotion. At first, we gave it to you. But after some discussion, we find it easier if it is Aslam who is promoted."
[["There is some strong chance that Aslam will be more present in the office than you. We have to think about the productivity, and it seems the position will be more secure with him than with you. However, we could give you a promotion in a different team."|harsh]]
[["Aslam has more experience in some fields. It's better for the company to have Aslam here. I am sorry Sujatha, but if you want, we could promote you in another team."|soft]]
-> sujatha s'indigne des propos, et préfère quitter l'entreprise
"What are you talking about? I don't have to justify myself, we've been in good terms since the beginnings, I don't want to put my career aside! What you are proposing in nonsense to me. Really, you are very offensing. I am sorry chef, but if it is was you really think, I prefer to quit."
"But we can propose you to be in another team!"
"You make me feel like I am problem for the company! How do you think I would feel after that? I am sorry, but I know I have other opportunities, and I prefer to be in a safer environnement than here."
She gets up and leave your office. Aslam tries to hide a little smile. After all, maybe it was just some jealousy? You know you can't get Sujatha back, not after what you all said to her. You feel a little bit bad for her, but you know Aslam would make a good work.

It's been three months since Sujatha's decision. She quited the job not soon after the meeting. Aslam has been promoted, and is handling the company. However, Ashok told you Sujatha would have been a better worker.

Sujatha put up with the news.
"Well... If you think I can do a better work elsewhere, I can't say no. I am sorry if you think I am not good enough for this job... And indeed, Aslam is a very good worker. I can put up with that."
"Thank you Sujatha for you comprehension. I really appreciate this."
When they leave, Ashok and you regulate some formalities.

It's been three months since your decision. Both Sujatha and Aslam make a great job. However, you think Sujatha would have been better instead of Aslam. You can't really be upset, since there is no loss in your company.

"Maybe yes, we could ask Ashok to come."
You give a phone call, and a few minutes later, Ashok enters your office. He looks like a bit suspicious, but is not surprised to see Aslam here.
"Oh, is there a problem with the fact that Sujatha gets the promotion instead of you?" He asks ironically.
"Yes, I don't think you understand what it could imply: if she gets pregnant, you will have to find someone else, and hire a phantom ressource, for exemple. Moreover, I am sorry, but if she has her period, she could not be here because of the pain!"
You and Ashok are shocked to see how Aslam is reacting. He adds:
"And, I know there is this big problem in our company: women are not as much represented as the men. But I think there is an explanation for that. Plus our clients are more confident with men than women."
"So you tink our company must not hire women? Is that it?"
"I didn't say that. But I think it is a mistake to gave them high-ranking jobs."
[["I think you can stop here Aslam. I don't want someone as close-minded as you in our company. Do you realize how much are you a bad exemple in here!? I don't know if I want to give you a another promotion, with this kind of thinking, you are not a good element. And I will put in place an awareness campaign about women at work. I suppose you're not the only one to think like that, and I don't want that in our company."|dégage]]
[["I think I had heard enough. You will not have the promotion, but I can see to put you in another team. But you have to be more open-minded. I think I will put in place an awareness campaign about women at work, I can't let our employees to have this way of thinking."|campange.]]
"But I didn't mean to..."
"Okay Aslam, I think we heard enough from you. You won't get a promotion, and I will inform Sujatha and the team about you. If I heard anything wrong, you will have to deal with me. You can go now."
He leaves the room, without trying to justify himself.
------------
It's been three months since the argument. Aslam has been fired, due to his behaviour with Sujatha. You regret nothing. As expected, you put in place an awareness campaign. A lot of your employees are thankful, and thought it was a great idea.
Your company has made a little profit since the promotion, and you're glad that Sujatha has been recognized for her hard-work.
END.

He leaves the room, mortified.
"Do you really think we have to keep him in our company?"
"Yes, he is a good worker, and I need him for now. I hope the campaign will change his opinion." You said.
